Not a shoe. A fragment of a story.

A design inspired by the Danish lifestyle, who enjoy simple things that make life good, something that can be seen when walking the streets of Copenhagen. This “art” of enjoying life is called “Hygge” (pronounced hoo-gah in English), and can be translated as “coziness”; however, for Danes it is so much more than just that: it is actually a whole attitude toward life that has contributed to rank Denmark as the happiest country in the world. It is a concept that encompasses a state of well-being and satisfaction, a feeling of intimacy and pleasant coexistence. Hygge means to wear your favorite sweater, to be wrapped up in a blanket or snuggled up under a duvet while drinking a cup of tea or hot chocolate; it is the feeling you get when you meet friends and family for a cup of coffee and a piece of cake, or for a beer; they are definitely pleasant moments for the soul…  

Denmark Streets resembles Scandinavian geometric patterns in neutral colors, like the ones you would find in clothing, bedclothes under which you feel warm and safe. It is a design that conveys the feeling of joy that Hygge represents: to find comfort and pleasure in simple things.
